More than 250,000 Chickasaw Cultural Center visitors have seen the natural stone buildings and great timbers which seem to grow out of the Oklahoma soil alongside the lush green Buffalo Grass.
They have felt the rhythm of stomp dancers and witnessed the ingenious use of artistry, craftsmanship and technology which help tell the story of the Chickasaw people.
These visitors have helped the Chickasaw Cultural Center amass an impressive number of awards, honors and accolades. They may add one more honor to the list before the center’s fourth anniversary this summer.
Recently, the center has been nominated for The Oklahoman Reader’s Choice “State Tourism Destination” for 2014.
Individuals can log on to the newspaper’s website, NewsOK.com and vote for their favorites, including the Chickasaw Cultural Center in nearly 200 categories.
