Inclement Weather Notice

Out of an abundance of caution with the impending inclement weather, the Chickasaw Nation will close offices at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, January 23, 2026, to allow extra time for people to travel home. We will continue to actively monitor the weather and make adjustments if an earlier closure time is needed.

Chickasaw Nation Department of Health (CNDH) employees should follow CNDH inclement weather protocols and policy. Chickasaw Nation Department of Commerce businesses should follow their line of support regarding inclement weather guidance.

This program provides a non-reloadable $450 Visa gift card for full-time and part-time college students per academic level classification. The grant must be used for clothing purchases only.

Program Details

Clothing grants are available to Chickasaw college students pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree and will be provided in the form of a VISA gift card. Funds are to be used for clothing purchases only.

Other Information

Original receipts must be returned to the division of youth services. The first and last name of the student must be written on each receipt.
The Chickasaw Nation Youth Services team will randomly audit cards throughout the purchasing dates.
Merchant code restrictions will be on cards to allow to adhere to the following purchasing guidelines.

Purchasing Guidelines

Purchases are limited to clothing only. Items that may be purchased include dresses, shirts, shoes, boots, blouses, pants, shorts, capris, undergarments, school uniforms, jackets, coats, winter gloves, backpacks and belts.
Unapproved, non-clothing purchases include textbooks, groceries, makeup, jewelry, perfume, hair products, flip flops, tobacco, alcohol, pajamas, swimsuits, cleats, sports equipment, ball caps, hats, etc.
All transactions are monitored for misuse or non-compliance. Grantees found in non-compliance will be placed on probation for the upcoming school year.
Ten dollars will be deducted from all replacement cards.
The Chickasaw Nation Youth Services Division is absolved from any further responsibility of cards upon delivery to the grantee.

Application Process

Application period: Aug. 1–Feb. 1
Applications may be submitted online.
Applications may be submitted in-person or by mail to the Chickasaw Nation Youth Services Division; however, online submissions will receive processing priority as paper applications may take additional time to process.

Incomplete or late applications will not be processed.

Award Notification

Qualifying applicants will be notified with an award letter via USPS.
A non-reloadable VISA card will be issued by mail.
The card must be activated upon receipt.
