VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program provides free, contactless or in-person tax filing services to qualifying individuals and families.

These services are available to the public for filers who meet income eligibility requirements.

Program Details

Free virtual and in-person tax filing services are available to qualifying income-eligible individuals and families.

A qualified VITA team member will prepare the return and review it with you in person, by phone or Zoom meeting. To receive this no-cost tax preparation assistance, please submit the application and upload all required documentation, including:

  1. Complete the online application and upload all necessary documents.
  2. A VITA team member will prepare the return
  3. Once complete, the VITA preparer will call or set up a Zoom meeting to review the return with the filer

Before beginning the application, have the following documents ready to upload:

  • Government issued photo identification
  • Social Security cards for the filer and all dependents
  • All W-2s, 1099s, etc. (any documents that pertain to completing your tax return)
  • Voided check for direct deposit of any refund you may receive
  • Copy of last year’s tax return for new VITA clients

Chickasaw Nation license plates are sold exclusively at state-licensed tag agencies throughout Oklahoma. Following purchase of tags, the Chickasaw Nation will issue a rebate for a percentage of the license plate fees and taxes. Participants must be a Chickasaw citizen and the Chickasaw citizenship card must match the name on the registered vehicle’s title.
