The McSwain Theater offers visitors diverse entertainment opportunities. The McSwain Theatre was built by Ada businessman Foster McSwain in 1920 and continued to screen movies and host events well into the 1980’s.

In 2002, the Chickasaw Nation purchased the McSwain Theatre and began overseeing its operations. Extensive renovations that will restore the theatre back to a look similar to its glory days in the 1920’s are near completion.

Keeping with a 15 year community tradition, the McSwain Theatre hosts a monthly music show in addition to a variety of other family-oriented events. The theatre features music and entertainment of all kinds, and serves as one of Ada’s premier family attractions.
