Lazer Zone Family Fun Center

Southern Oklahoma residents can see family entertainment in a whole new light at the 60,000 square foot Lazer Zone Family Fun Center in Ada.

Shortly after patrons walk into the facility they take on a glow, quite literally, as clothing reacts to the ultraviolet light.

Lazer lights and fog machines add to the excitement in the 24 lane bowling area, where lanes, pins, shoes, balls and even the confetti pattern in the carpet also glow in the blacklight.

Brightly colored panels above the pins maintain the festive atmosphere when bowling lanes are brightly illuminated by fluorescent tubes.

Fog machines, lazer lights and disco balls, make skating and rollerblading a breathtakingly new experience, as skaters roll along to the beat of tunes played by a DJ manning the state-of-the-art sound system. Spectator bleachers are also available for those needing to take a breather.

Lazer tag players will be able to shoot it out with sophisticated space-age style hardware in the innovative 4,000 square foot lazer tag arena.

Blacklights illuminate the arena, which is designed to look, sound and feel like a futuristic chemical storage facility.

Rounding out the experience for children and adults are 90 of the latest and most popular video and prize arcade games from realistic rides on Harley-Davidson motorcycles to dodging dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.

Younger visitors will find plenty to do in the brightly lighted toddler play area. Everything from a playhouse to softly padded steps, slides and animal forms will provide hours of entertainment for even the most active toddler.

"We want this to be a place where the entire family, from young children to grandparents can come and have a great time," said Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby, "with so many activities to choose from in one location, this will be a place where families can visit time after time and always have a new and exciting experience."

Patrons needing to rest and refuel can choose from hamburgers, pizzas, chicken strips, soft serve ice cream and other favorites at the large concession restaurant. Skaters will be able to skate up to the counter and choose their favorites from the snack bar in the skating rink.

"There is nothing that even comes close to the size and scope of this facility in southern Oklahoma," said Brian Campbell, CEO of Chickasaw Enterprises. "Our research shows more than 125,000 residents 17 and younger live within 60 miles of the facility. We expect families to travel from miles around to experience the thrills and excitement offered here."

Lazer Zone will employ up to 150, with a payroll of $1.4 million the first year of operation.

"Most of those employees will be high school and college students who will have a new opportunity to work in a fun and exciting environment," said Mr. Campbell.

Lazer Zone will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Meeting rooms for birthday parties, church or school outings, family reunions and corporate events are also available.

Special rates are available for parties of 10 or more. Rates include reserved rooms, prepaid game cards, lazer tag, bowling or skating as well as food and soft drinks.
