Governor Bill Anoatubby

Welcome to the home of the "Great Unconquered and Unconquerable Chickasaw Nation!"  We hope your visit is warmed by the spirit of hospitality shared among our people and the communities of south central Oklahoma.

Experience the adventure, the wonder and the fun of our ancient hills, natural springs and deep, clear lakes.  Take a walk in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur, the state's only national park, named by Indian tribes as the "Peaceful Valley of Rippling Waters," where inter-tribal disputes and warfare were forbidden.

Imagine hundreds of years of human drama unfolding when visiting our historic capital city of Tishomingo and its stately granite Chickasaw Nation Capitol Building or the Chickasaw National Bank--both built during the 19th century.  The Chickasaw Council House Museum gives a look back at the lives of those who helped settle this part of the state and provides genealogical services so you can trace your own history.

Have fun and try your luck at our gaming centers and casinos in Ada, Ardmore, Davis, Goldsby, Kingston, Madill, Marlow, Newcastle, Norman, Paoli, Sulphur, Thackerville and Wilson.  Our travel plazas in Ada, Davis, Kingston, Thackerville and Wilson offer cleanliness, hospitality, souvenirs, good food, camping supplies and fuels.

The tribal government headquarters, located in Ada, includes a cultural center library.  Each year the spirit of this rich and enterprising people is celebrated during the Chickasaw Festival and Annual Meeting in September and October in the Historic Capital of Tishomingo.  Please let this site serve as your guide for the discovery and enjoyment of the picturesque lands known as the Chickasaw Nation.

Sincerely,

Bill Anoatubby, Governor
The Chickasaw Nation
