Chickasaw Nation Hall of Fame
Honor Garden Rendering

The Chickasaw Nation Honor Garden is a beautiful and serene monument dedicated to individuals inducted into the Chickasaw Nation Hall of Fame. Its peaceful setting invites visitors to reflect and view the etched granite plaques commemorating each inductee.

Located adjacent to the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma, the Chickasaw Nation Honor Garden is crafted from natural elements including rock, granite and copper. The architecture is an original design inspired by the four directions and incorporating spiral symbols indicative of traditional Chickasaw culture.

Patterns of wind and water are used in the unique sidewalk design, and open sky and botanical features add to the visitors’ experience.

At the center of the garden is a granite fountain adorned with copper feathers and natural stone. Built as an official Oklahoma Centennial Project, the fountain sits in a pool of flowing water which is directed down a path through the garden and then seemingly disappears into the landscape.

Construction began on the Chickasaw Nation Honor Garden and fountain in 2007 and was completed in 2009. The Chickasaw Nation Hall of Fame plaques include each inductee, beginning with the first inducted in 1987. New inductees are added to the honor garden each year.
