Martin Van Buren Cheadle

Martin Van Buren Cheadle was tireless in his efforts as a servant of the Chickasaw people. Mr. Cheadle presided over the Chickasaw Senate during the last session of the tribal legislature prior to statehood.
He served the Chickasaw Nation as a court clerk, clerk for the grand jury, clerk for the Chickasaw House of Representatives, secretary of the Senate, national secretary and auditor of public accounts.
