 Judge Aaron Duck

Aaron Duck was born in Ada, OK, in February, 1974. He was raised in Sulphur, OK, and graduated from Sulphur High School in 1992. After high school, he attended East Central University in Ada, OK, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies in 1996.

After college, he attended law school at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the Native American Law Students Association, Assistant Managing Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, author of an article published in the Oklahoma Law Review dealing with tribal court jurisdiction, and a member of the Dean's Honor Roll each semester. He graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in December, 1998, and was in the top fifteen percent of his class.

Immediately after graduating from law school, he began practicing law in Sulphur, OK. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and admitted to practice in the Federal Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma.

He served the Chickasaw Nation as a board member for Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. He has served as Court Advocate from November, 2002, to November, 2003. During that time he helped the Chickasaw Supreme Court and the District Judge in establishing the Chickasaw District Court. He was appointed District Judge in September, 2003.  Judge Duck is an alumnus of the National Judicial College.
