Supreme Court

The Constitution of the Chickasaw Nation vests the Judicial powers in one Supreme Court and in such inferior Courts as the Legislature shall ordain and establish.

The purpose of the Supreme Court is to settle disputes regarding any provisions of the Chickasaw Constitution or any laws of the Chickasaw Nation.

The Supreme Court consists of three Supreme Court Justices elected by popular vote of qualified voters of the Chickasaw Nation. The Judicial power of the Supreme Court extends to all cases arising under the Constitution, Laws and Treaties of the Chickasaw Nation and to all controversies to which the Chickasaw Nation shall be a party.
