Area T-Ball teams are invited to participate in the Chickasaw Foundation Second Annual T-Ball Tournament scheduled for Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Kiwanis Ball Park in Ada.
Ten teams will battle it out to benefit the Chickasaw Foundation, which grants scholarships to dozens of college students each year.
The winning team will receive a T-shirt, bat bag and trophy. Second place winners will receive a t-shirt and a trophy and those in third place will receive a trophy.
Prizes will also be granted to Saturday’s contest winners. The contests include an accuracy test, base running and a home run derby.
Eligible players for the double-elimination tournament must have been six years old or younger on December 31, 2008.
Entry fee for the tournament is $100 per team. Admission will be $4 for adults and $3 for students ages K-12. Children under 3 will be admitted free.
Established in 1971, the Chickasaw Foundation strives to fulfill its mission to promote the general welfare and culture of the Chickasaw people by supporting educational, health, historical and community activities and programs.
