ADA - The 2010 Children's Fair is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 24 at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex.
The family-oriented, free event invites everyone to come celebrate the Week of the Young Child and Child Abuse Prevention Month. This year's theme of the Week of the Young Child is Early Years are Learning Years.
"What our children learn at a young age sets the stage for the rest of their lives," said Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby. "This event is a great opportunity for the entire community to join together to in a fun event which will also enhance the quality of life of everyone involved."
The event will feature performances by several Chickasaw Nation groups, fashion shows, a petting farm, diaper dash, baby party, door prizes, giveaways and more than 70 booths providing health and wellness resources for the entire family.
The event is sponsored by the Chickasaw Nation, in participation with many community organizations and businesses.
