Bradley Uhles, Paoli High School Senior, signed his letter of intent April 16 accepting a basketball scholarship to Hesston Junior College in Hesston, Kan.

“It’s a nice campus with great people. I liked the school a lot because they have an outstanding basketball program that competes against top competition,” said Uhles, “I think I will enjoy it because it’s a smaller school like the high school I am coming from, so the move won’t be a big adjustment.”

Uhles was a four year starter in Basketball and was elected two consecutive years to the All State Honorable Mention team, ranked as a Top Five Class B player, and selected to the All Tournament Team three years straight. Last season he led Paoli to a 13-9 record.

”Bradley is a multidimensional player and at his size and ability to shoot the ball we expect he can come in and make an immediate contribution at the three or four slot. He has great work ethic and versatility and he’s everything we look for in a recruit,” said Dustin Galyon, Hesston Junior College Head Coach.

Uhles is an honor roll student with a 3.6 GPA, on student newspaper and competed on the Academic Team. He also played Golf and Baseball throughout high school and plans on joining the Hesston Junior College Golf Team next year.

Uhles wants to pursue a degree in golf course management and plans on trying to make a division one basketball program after he finishes his two to three years at Hesston Junior College.

Bradley Uhles is the son of Anita and David Uhles of Maysville, Okla. He’s the grandson of Linda Crumb of Chickasha, Okla., Jim Crumb of Ardmore, Okla. and Jackie and Bill Uhles of Sulphur, Okla.

“We are thrilled about his opportunity to play at Hesston! They have a great basketball program and we think it will really open a lot of doors for him and help him pursue a quality education at a great school,” said David Uhles.

Hesston Junior College was founded in 1909, celebrating its centennial this year. Hesston is one of only twelve private two year colleges in the United States and is owned by the Mennonite Church. Hesston competes in JCAA Division II region eight Basketball.
