CNASA and Space Camp applications due April 15

The Chickasaw Nation Division of Education Office of Supportive Programs is hosting camps geared toward science, technology, math, engineering and aviation. Don’t miss your opportunity to be involved in these action-packed, educational camps this summer!

Below are camp descriptions and dates for two space camps as well as Chickasaw Nation Space and Aviation camp. Application deadlines are April 15.

Space Camp - Houston, Texas
June 7-11
This camp is conducted at NASA Space Center Houston and is for Chickasaw students ages 15-18. Students simulate missions and learn about engineering, space and aviation. Students experience behind-the-scene tours and presentations by NASA staff.

Space Camp - Huntsville, Alabama
June 14-18
This challenging week-long space camp is conducted at Huntsville, Ala., and designed for Chickasaw students ages 12-14 to discover their engineering talent. Participants get hands-on training, as well as learn about the mental, emotional and physical demands astronauts must face.

Chickasaw Nation Space and Aviation Camp (CNASA) - Ada, Okla.
June 28-July 2
CNASA is a learning program designed to encourage Chickasaw students interested in aviation, space, science or math to pursue careers and opportunities in these fields. Students spend the week flying in simulators, learning through hands-on demonstrations, and have a chance to fly in a real plane. CNASA is for students 11 to 18 years of age.
