TISHOMINGO, Okla. – Lessons on teamwork, tolerance and leadership were sprinkled in with many fun activities during the Chickasaw Nation Boys and Girls Clubs camp, conducted Oct. 20-22 at Camp Bond near Tishomingo.
More than 30 members of Sulphur and Tishomingo Chickasaw Nation Boys and Girls Clubs participated in the camp.
Campers spent their fall-break from school at the camp. The campers played tennis, basketball and other sports activities.
Life-lessons were also shared.
"We learned about teamwork, trust and how to get along with other people," said Amber England, a club member from Sulphur.
Fitness and sports were important elements of the camp. Campers also spent time making crafts and making new friends.

The camp is a reward for students who exhibit good behavior and participate in volunteer projects throughout the school year.
It is also a way to instill healthy habits such as physical fitness and good nutrition.
