The Chickasaw Nation Division of Arts and Humanities brings American Indian classical music to the forefront of Native fine arts in its inaugural Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival on June 3-5, 2011, in Ada, Oklahoma at the historic McSwain Theatre. This premiere chamber music celebration is the first of its kind and combines the diverse talents of Chickasaw classical composer and conductor Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate, NAMMY award-winning Yaqui guitarist Gabriel Ayala, Julliard-trained string quartet ETHEL and the southwest's leading professional modern chamber music ensemble, Voices of Change.  Also appearing will be world-renowned Cherokee mezzo soprano soloist Barbara McAlister.
