The Native Youth Preventing Diabetes Conference will take place on June 13 - 17, at Camp Waluhili in Chouteau, Okla. The conference is limited to the first 20 Chickasaw students ages 8-12. The deadline to register is May 11. Students with a family history of diabetes are encouraged to attend.

The conference will feature classes on nutrition, self-esteem, physical activity and diabetes prevention. Students will also participate in fun physical activities such as archery, basketball, swimming, volleyball and canoeing.
