Applications are now available for the 2011 Chickasaw Nation Summer Youth Program.
The Summer Youth Program is an eight-week employment program for Native American youth ages 14-21. It provides valuable work experience ranging from tribal operations, child care, to health systems andbusinesses in the non-profit sector.
Students acquire new skills, workplace training, develop productive work habits and increase their education and knowledge.
Applicants must provide the following documentation:
- Chickasaw Nation citizenship card and Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)
- Verification of residence
- Income verification for the past six months
- Social Security Card
- Selective Service number (males 18 years of age or older)
- Photo identification or driver's license
- Recent report card, achievement test scores, or transcript
Applicants must be 14 by June 13, 2011.
The deadline to return applications to the area offices is Friday, May 20. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
