Golf Camp

Open to students ages eight to 18
WinStar Golf Course, Thackerville, Oklahoma

The goal of the junior golf camp is to provide Native American youth the opportunity to enjoy the game of golf while learning life skills such as honor, integrity and sportsmanship. Along with introducing a life sport that can be enjoyed by all generations of the family, participants will receive necessary tools needed to build a lasting foundation for the game of golf. Instruction is provided for all skill levels with a highly knowledgeable and motivated staff.

The camp targets 150 Native American youth from age eight through high school seniors. The camp is supported by the United States Golf Association, the Professional Golfers Association of Central Oklahoma, the Chickasaw Nation and the Chickasaw Foundation. This is an overnight camp. Transportation will be provided from Ada, Purcell, Ardmore, Tishomingo and Davis. If students drive themselves to camp, they must give their keys to staff members at registration and leave their vehicles at the golf course throughout the camp. Transportation will be provided to and from the overnight lodging site.

2009 Camp Dates:
