Camp Chikasha Sayah

Open to students ages eight to 12
Camp Goddard on Lake Arbuckle near Davis, Oklahoma

This camp provides students with opportunities to learn more about their Chickasaw heritage and culture. Camp Goddard has a museum where students can experience a hands-on exhibit of Native American cultures.

Students will participate in stickball games, marble games, squirrel stick games, archery, stomp dancing, arts and crafts and Chickasaw language. There will be time to relax and enjoy outdoor fun such as swimming, boating (canoe or rowboat) and volleyball.

This is an overnight camp. Transportation will be provided from Ada, Purcell, Ardmore, Tishomingo and Davis.

2009 Camp Dates:

  • July 13-15
