About

Welcome to the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival webpage!

The 2011 Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival is September 24 through October 1.

This year marks the 51st Annual Meeting of the Chickasaw Nation and the 23rd Chickasaw Festival. The theme is Liiholiitoblichi, meaning let’s celebrate!  Many events are planned for the week-long celebration. Join us as we celebrate our nation as a whole and each Chickasaw as an individual!

Don’t miss exciting festivities such as Cultural Evening, Art Show and Market, Annual Meeting, cultural events, entertainment, games, fellowship and more.

The Annual Meeting is Saturday morning, October 1, at Fletcher Auditorium on the campus of Murray State College in Tishomingo. This will be a great opportunity to join fellow Chickasaws, friends and family to celebrate the tribe’s progress.

Activities are scheduled in Tishomingo, Ada, Emet, Kullihoma and Sulphur.

"On behalf of the Johnston County Chamber of Commerce, I would like to greet The Chickasaw Nation for the 51st addition of the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and the Festival. Nothing pleases us more than to say “welcome back” to this wonderful tradition. Tishomingo and Johnston County just see to come alive during these festivities. Thanks to all of you from all of us."

Johnston County Chamber of Commerce President Connie Thomas

"Murray State College is honored to be one of the hosts of The Chickasaw Nation Annual Meeting and Festival.  It is with great pride that our campus welcomes visitors from all over the country to celebrate the rich Chickasaw heritage and culture.  We celebrate with you and wish continued success and prosperity for our partner, the great Chickasaw Nation!"

Murray State College Interim President Joy McDaniel
