About:
Behavioral Health provides outpatient mental health, social work and substance abuse services.

We serve all ages and provide the following services:

  • Outpatient counseling for individuals, couples, families or groups who are experiencing stress in their life situation.
  • Information and referral for services that may be beyond our scope of services and/or for persons who may benefit from a referral to services closer to their home
  • Assessment and treatment planning
  • Psychiatry
  • Crisis intervention provided as needed including after hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Community education is provided upon request to all Chickasaw Nation departments, employees and citizens, and to non-tribal agencies upon request. Topics include but are not limited to:
    • ASIST - Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (interactive 2-day training)
    • suicideTalk – 2 hour suicide prevention training
    • SafeTalk (suicide prevention training)
    • Depression
    • Stress Management
    • Child and Elder Abuse
    • Substance Abuse and Methamphetamine Prevention and Education
    • Domestic Violence and sexual assault

Other Services:
BABES (Beginning Alcohol Basic Education Series) is a substance abuse prevention program for K-2 grades for local schools within the Chickasaw Nation.

Tobacco cessation counseling, education and classes are available to employees, employee spouses, patients and all tribal citizens.

The annual Angel Tree project assists families with Christmas gifts for children. The Annual Children's Fair involves the entire community in child abuse awareness and prevention.

Accessing Services:
Behavioral Health will accept referrals from physicians, nursing staff and other facility staff. Patients, family members and other agency referrals are also accepted.

Non-emergent patients may schedule an appointment. Emergent patients may be seen the same day of referral.

    The Chickasaw Nation Division of Health offers a variety of programs and services at several convenient locations throughout our 13-county jurisdiction. The Chickasaw Nation Medical Center (CNMC) is located in Ada, Oklahoma and outlying clinics are located in Ardmore, Durant, Purcell and Tishomingo.
