Babysitters College will be conducted at the Carl Albert Indian Health Facility (CAIHF) Main Conference Room on June 11 and 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. Participants must attend both days to receive a certificate. The deadline to register is June 9. Only the first 25 applicants will be accepted due to limited space.
The college will address the following issues:
- Infant and Child CPR
- First Aid and Safety
- Child Abuse Identification and Reporting
- Shaken Baby Syndrome Prevention
- Nutritious Meals and Snacks
- Formula Preparation
- Dressing and Diaper Changing Infants and Toddlers
- Age-appropriate exercises/activities
- Self Defense
- Babysitter Etiquette
- The Importance of Hand Washing & Proper Hand Washing Techniques
Participants must be 12–18 years old, Native American preference is given. Participants must also have transportation to and from the facility both days.
