Question: What is the School-To-Work Program (STWP)?

Answer:
The Chickasaw Nation School-to-Work Program (STWP) was created for Chickasaw citizens who are willing to actively pursue an educational or vocational degree while performing on-the-job training (OJT).

Question: Do I have to be a Chickasaw Citizen to be in this program?

Answer:
Yes, you must be a Chickasaw citizen to participate in the program.

Question: How do I apply?

Answer:
To apply for the STWP, you must fill out a Chickasaw Nation job application.

Question: Where can I obtain an application?

Answer:
Applicants must complete an online application at www.chickasaw.net

Question:  How often do you have openings or advertise openings for your program?

Answer:
Advertising for openings is dependent upon the rate of graduation and/or completion of the program by current students.  We advertise as students complete their educational goals and exit the program. 

Question: How many hours do I have to carry each semester? 

Answer:
You are required to maintain full time status as it relates to the season.

Question: How will I pay for my college or technology education? 

Answer:
Students in the STWP will utilize funding from federal or state grants, Chickasaw Nation Higher Education grants, and scholarships to cover educational cost and expenses.
