Preparing Chickasaw Nation youth to reach for the stars.

The Chickasaw Nation Aviation and Space Academy (CNASA) was established in the summer of 2003. CNASA is a learning program to prepare our youth for the future. CNASA is designed to inspire national excellence and to motivate and challenge the vision, talent and energies of Chickasaw young people to pursue careers in science and technology.

Chickasaw students interested in these fields are encouraged to attend. CNASA is an action packed week of flying in simulators and taking field trips. Each student will also get the opportunity to fly in a real plane. A student is awarded top gun and super top gun! These awards encourage our students to strive to do the best they can and learn as much as possible. This camp is for grades 5 - 12.

~~ATTENTION~~ the CNASA program will be offering a limited number of scholarships to deserving students to attend our exciting camp! Chickasaw students from across the country who are interested in attending will have the opportunity to embark on this exciting endeavor.  Here's what to do: first, complete a CNASA application postmarked or received by the deadline date. We will need a copy of the participant's Chickasaw Nation citizenship card or certificate, a Certificate Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) will not be accepted.  We will also need proof that the applicant is between the ages of 11 and 18 years.  Finally, all release, consent and waiver forms must be returned with the application or the application will not be considered.

For more information, call (580) 421-7711 or e-mail Sara Willie or Margaret Wise-Talamasey.

CNASA is a day camp. Participants will need to be dropped off each morning and picked up each afternoon.

For Chickasaw students that live outside of the Chickasaw Nation boundaries, begin by completing the CNASA Scholarship Program Application.
