Burial assistance is provided to eligible Indians.  The need determination for a deceased individual is based upon the resources available to the deceased's family.

Eligibility

Notification of death must be received by the Chickasaw Nation within 30 days following death.

• Must be a member of a federally recognized tribe.
• Must reside in the Chickasaw Nation service area.

Application for burial assistance is made by contacting the local area office.
