Harvest Fest

The Chickasaw White House hosted Harvest Fest Saturday, Oct. 17 at the grounds in Emet, OK.  The event offered attendants the chance to step back into the early 1900s with food and activities planned to exemplify the lives of Chickasaw Nation Governor Douglas H. Johnston and his family.

Mission:  To strengthen families in the Chickasaw Nation.

Governor Bill Anoatubby, in 1995, initiated an unprecedented effort to focus directly and completely on the potential of Chickasaw youth, which are one of the tribe's most valuable resources. To fulfill this effort, the youth services department was established.

Since that time, programs and services have been developed to give students opportunities to develop healthy and balanced lives.
