Chickasaw citizens who wish to be considered for academic grants and scholarships from the Chickasaw Nation should complete the application on this page. The application and all documents must be received by the deadline date(s) of Feb. 1st for the spring semester, June 15th for the summer semester and Sept. 1st for the fall semester*. Any application received after the deadline dates may be considered for funding at a later date if funding is available. *Note: High school seniors fall semester deadline is April 1st for the following documentation: Chickasaw Nation citizenship card, essay, letter of recommendation and high school transcript (seven semesters). All other documentation is due by Sept. 1st.
The grants and scholarships vary in amounts and are determined by a scholarship committee and the higher education office. You may be eligible for, and may be selected to receive, one or more of the awards each semester provided you meet the requirements.
Undergraduate grants and scholarships include: Higher Education Grant, Clothing Grant, General Scholarship Program, Textbook Grant, CN Millennium Scholarship, Governor’s, Lt. Governor’s and Legislators’ Scholarships and the Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes – Johnson O’Malley Scholarship. Graduate/doctorate grants and scholarships include: Higher Education Grant, Clothing Grant, Textbook Grant, and General Scholarship Program. Funding sources are subject to change from semester to semester. All awards are dependent upon availability of funds.
