Description

VISION: Enhance the overall quality of life of the youth in the Chickasaw Nation by providing the maximum opportunities to succeed and enjoy life. |
A community youth group is a parent or volunteer supervised group of young Chickasaw or other Native American students ages 6-12. The groups function in a capacity similar to that of the Chickasaw community councils that exist across the country. The purpose of the community youth groups is to involve students in fun activities which will develop leadership and communication skills while increasing the students’ participation in community events.
The community youth groups report to one of four District Youth Councils: Panola District Youth Council, Pickens District Youth Council, Pontotoc District Youth Council or Tishomingo District Youth Council.
For information about a group in your area or for additional questions, please call 580-310-6620 or send an e-mail.
