Description
The Chickasaw Nation Alcohol/Drug program is a 21-28 day primary residental treatment program for adult American Indian men and women.
The treatment approach utilized by the Healthy Lifestyles Program is a holistic one, focusing equally on the mental, physical and spiritual aspects of addiction.
Clients of the program are involved with alcohol/drug classes, individual therapy, family therapy, experiential therapy, anger management, stress management, ROPES course activities, family group, parenting, fatherhood groups and cultural activities as well as many other activities provided by the treatment center.
The Healthy Lifestyles Program also provides outpatient counseling, information & referral resources, alcohol/drug presentations and assessment services to American Indian citizens and organizations.
Eligibility
Persons requesting treatment must meet the following criteria:
- Have a sincere desire to become free of addiction and assume a healthy lifestyle
- Have a CDIB from a federally recognized American Indian tribe
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a PPD test or chest x-ray (as needed)
- Applicants facing legal issues must have a written referral from his Parole Officer or Drug Court Counselor
