Description
The Youth HELPS scholarship was developed to acknowledge and assist students who are continuing their education by attending a college, university or vocational/technical institution. The scholarships will be sent directly to your college, university or vocational/technical institution.
The 2008 deadline has expired.
Additional Information
- Chickasaw high school graduating seniors may apply
- Requires an official high school transcript verifying a cummulative 3.2 or higher GPA
- $500 one-time scholarship for college/university OR $300 one-time scholarship for vocational/technical school
- Three college/university scholarships awarded per legislative district per year
- One vocational/technical scholarship awarded per legislative district per year
- Requires completed application
- Requires recommendation from school administrator
- Requires typewritten autobiography
- Requires 500 word typewritten essay
- Requires copy of student's Chickasaw Nation citizenship card
