Description
The Chickasaw Nation Health System pharmacy department provides pharmacy services for all Indian patients who are prescribed medications by Chickasaw Nation Health System physicians, dentists, physican attendants or nurse practitioners.
These medications are provided to those patients who are receiving care either in the hospital at the CAIHF or as patients at one of the five outpatient clinics located at the CAIHF, the Family Practice Clinic in Ada or the Indian Health Clinics at Tishomingo, Ardmore or Durant. All patients receiving medications are counseled by licensed pharmacists. Medications are checked for drug-interactions, allergies and appropriateness of therapy. The pharmacy department is also responsible for all medications that are used by the providers throughout all of the facilities.
