Life can be hectic at times. School, work, sports, clubs, family and social activities seemingly never end. Planning healthy and nutritious meals for your family can be challenging. March is National Nutrition Month, and the Chickasaw Nation has many resources to help maintain a healthy meal plan during the week while prioritizing your family’s nutrition.
Resources like the MomCircle app can help with cooking in a hurry and teaching your children how to be good eaters. Additionally, the Get Fresh! program is passionate about promoting healthy eating habits and providing nutritious recipes for all types of meals.
The Impa’chi program works to provide meals at no cost to children ages 1-18 year-round. Meal site locations are available during the school year, on school breaks and during the summer months. Find locations throughout the Chickasaw Nation at nutrition centers, public libraries, churches and community centers.
Nutrition services can be contacted at (888) 436-7255. Download the MomCircle app in the App Store or Google Play and visit GetFreshCooking.com for a variety of recipe options. Also, find a full list of meal site locations and hours for Impa’chi at ChickasawNationHealth.net.
