School-to-Work Program

This program provides eligible participants the opportunity to pursue higher educational goals full time while receiving full-time pay/benefits. During the program, participants also fulfill all requirements and responsibilities of their on-the-job training. Participants must actively pursue an educational or vocational degree while employed. Eligible applicants may apply at once an advertisement for vacancies has been posted.

On-the-job training provides students with specific types of employment opportunities related to their course of study. While working in these positions, students receive superior instruction and invaluable work experience. This creates a better prepared Chickasaw to enter the corporate world upon graduation.

Partnering with other departments and businesses within the Chickasaw Nation, the School-To-Work Program allows the Chickasaw Nation to “grow our own” by providing students with real world work experience while attending School. This will increase employment retention  from applicants and develop loyal, dedicated employees.

You Provide:

  • Chickasaw citizenship card


  • Must be Chickasaw
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be willing to pursue a degree from a university, vocational school or GED
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA required
