“Chikasha Poya” (We are Chickasaw) is a monthly 30-minute television program highlighting Chickasaw storytelling, history, tourism and culture. Produced by the Chickasaw Nation, “Chikasha Poya” explores culture, creativity and communities in Chickasaw Country and beyond.
Episode 3 of “Chikasha Poya” will air on KFOR Channel 4 (NBC in Oklahoma City) and KXII Channel 12 (CBS in the Ardmore, Ada and Texoma area) on the following dates:

Episode 3 highlights the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival and some significant cultural sites in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, the historic capital city of the Chickasaw Nation.
Co-hosts Quin Tran and Mikaela Kent explore the Chickasaw Nation Information Center in Tishomingo before strolling a few blocks north to tour the Chickasaw Historic Capitol Building and the adjacent Chickasaw Council House Museum. A stop at the Chickasaw Bank Museum, 413 W. Main St., completes the tour.
Viewers are treated to an event preview of the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival, Sept. 25 to Oct. 3, including the Southeastern Art Show and Market (SEASAM) and Chickasaw Cultural Evening, conducted at the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
Chickasaw citizen features, a stomp dance demonstration, Chickasaw Nation Productions’ feature film trailers, “Montford: The Chickasaw Rancher” and “Te Ata” are included in the episode, as well as language lessons, and more.

Episode 2 of “Chikasha Poya” aired in August and features the newly renovated WinStar Golf Club and Academy, the Chickasaw Cultural Center’s Ayowaꞌ Garden to Gourmet agritour and Riverwind Casino’s Beats & Bites. Episode 2 can be viewed online at Chickasaw.net/ChikashaPoya.
