The McSwain Theatre is set to host its monthly movie showcase throughout April, featuring classic and family-friendly films with showtimes at 2 and 7 p.m. each Thursday.
Tickets for the movie showcase are $3 for general admission, $2 for seniors and $2 for children ages 12 and under. A $5 combo deal is also available and includes a movie ticket, popcorn and a drink.
The April lineup includes:
April 9 — “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993)
Following a bitter divorce, a devoted father disguises himself as a British nanny to stay close to his children. His elaborate ruse leads to heartfelt moments, comedic chaos and a renewed understanding of family.
April 16 — “The Story of Seabiscuit” (1949)
Irish horse trainer, Shawn, and his niece, Margaret, move to Kentucky after a family tragedy. Shawn helps an undersized, overlooked racehorse facing setbacks on and off the track. Together, they defy the odds and capture the nation’s imagination.
April 23 — “The Secret Garden” (1993)
A lonely orphan discovers a hidden, neglected garden on her uncle’s estate in England. As the garden comes back to life, it brings healing, friendship and transformation to everyone it touches.
April 30 — “The Rookie” (2002)
A small-town high school baseball coach gets a second chance at a lifelong dream when a remarkable fastball earns him a spot at the major leagues. His journey proves it is never too late to believe in possibility.
Jae L. & Crossover performs 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18
In addition to the movie showcase, the McSwain Theatre is set to host a live music event featuring Jae L. & Crossover 7 p.m. Saturday, April 18. The group will perform classic country and gospel favorites. Special guest performers include Chandler Elliott, Debbie Allen and Stephen Cook of Ada, Oklahoma; Sadie Prince of Duncan, Oklahoma; Wiley Winters of Norman, Oklahoma; Missy Rude of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; and Lori North of Seminole, Oklahoma.
Tickets for the concert are $15 for regular admission, $13 for seniors and $10 for children. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more. Tickets for all April events are on sale now.
