  • The lights of the McSwain Theatre marquee illuminate the corner of Main and Townsend in Ada as they have since 1920. Today, the venue offers movies, live music, stage plays and a place to socialize.

ADA, Okla. – The McSwain Theatre Grand Awards Show--an entertainment competition showcasing local artists--culminates with a red carpet event 6 p.m. Oct. 20, at the historic theater located at 130 W. Main Street.

Attendees are invited to welcome the stars as they arrive in limousines before the 7 p.m. show. Contestants will return to the stage for a final performance before category winners and “Entertainer of the Year” are announced.

Last month’s semifinal round determined all category winners by way of audience vote. The Oct. 20 show will showcase performers in each category, including: 16 and under, gospel, female and male.

Ada’s Chandler Elliott will also make an appearance as a guest performer.

Jae L. and Crossover, known for their monthly show filled with live music and entertainment, will perform alongside competitors. After the Grand Awards Show, Jae L. and Crossover will continue performing on the third Saturday of each month at the McSwain Theatre.

Regular admission is $15, seniors receive a discounted $13 admission and tickets for children age 12 and under are $10. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more.
