The Chickasaw Nation is now accepting nominations for the 2027 Dynamic Woman of the Year Award.
All nominations and supporting documentation must be emailed to CulturalEnhancement@Chickasaw.net by Sunday, Dec. 20, at 11:59 p.m.
Chickasaw women ages 35 and older are eligible. Employees of the Chickasaw Nation or its subsidiaries, and women currently serving as Chickasaw officials are not eligible.
The Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Woman of the Year Award was established in October 2006 to honor Chickasaw women who have made significant contributions to the Chickasaw Nation and its citizens. These women serve as role models to other Chickasaw women, make a difference in the lives of Chickasaws and other citizens, and enrich their communities and society at large.
“Every year, we are inspired by the remarkable Chickasaw women whose leadership, accomplishments and dedication have made a lasting difference in the lives of others,” Chickasaw Nation Director of Cultural Enhancement Catie Hamilton said. “The Dynamic Woman of the Year Award provides an opportunity for us to celebrate these women and honor their legacy that will have an everlasting impact on our future generations.”
As leaders in education, healthcare, arts, cultural advocacy, legal professions, military services, public service, social services and community development, Chickasaw women have forged new roads that continue to serve as a force of empowerment for girls, women and men of all ages.
Chickasaw women chosen for this honor have inspired, given hope and opened new possibilities and opportunities for others. They have made contributions to improving and enhancing the lives of those around them, accomplished professional goals, enriched their communities and preserved the cultural heritage of the Chickasaw Nation and its people.
