In 2015, Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby announced the creation of a customized program in conjunction with Rosetta Stone Inc. to assist in the revitalization of the Chickasaw language.

“It is essential to revitalize our Chickasaw language and preserve it for future generations, because so much of our culture is bound up in the knowledge of our language,” Governor Anoatubby said in introducing the language-learning program.

Rosetta Stone Chickasaw recently added a fourth engaging level that incorporates video, audio and still images featuring lessons developed in conjunction with native Chickasaw speakers. Users work through lessons at their own pace and learn conversational Chickasaw phrases that can be incorporated into daily life.

The award-winning software is designed for users’ lifestyles. Rosetta Stone Chickasaw is accessible online, making it an easy and comfortable learning experience.

Learners may also take lessons on the go with the Rosetta Stone Fluency Builder app, available for both Apple and Android devices. This mobile application enables learners to speak Chickasaw anytime, anywhere.

Rosetta Stone Chickasaw is available free to Chickasaw citizens. Chickasaw Nation employees and the general public can access Rosetta Stone Chickasaw at minimal cost.
