Chickasaw Nation College Clothing Grant


Out of an abundance of caution and to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, certain Chickasaw Nation events, classes, facilities, etc., will be postponed, canceled or closed. Clothing grants are available to Chickasaw college students pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degree, and will be provided in the form of a VISA gift card. Funds are to be used for clothing purchases only.

The program offers a one-time $300 grant to be used for clothing for all college students full or part-time, who show proof of enrollment and certify they have been affected by COVID-19.

You Provide

  • High school transcript (freshmen students only)
  • Class schedule


  • Registered Chickasaw citizen
  • Enrolled in college full-time or part-time
  • Need for clothing grant assistance caused by the COVID-19 public health emergency

Other Information

  • All receipts are required to be turned in by March 1, 2021.
  • Original receipts must be returned to the division of youth services, by mail or in-person. The first and last name of the student/child must be written on each receipt.
  • The Chickasaw Nation Youth Services team will randomly audit cards throughout the purchasing dates.
  • All college clothing grant cards issued will have a January 31, 2021 expiration date and all funds must be exhausted by that point.
  • Merchant code restrictions will be on cards to allow to adhere to the following purchasing guidelines.

Purchasing Guidelines

  • Purchases are limited to clothing only. Items that may be purchased include: dresses, shirts, shoes, boots, blouses, pants, shorts, capris, undergarments, school uniforms, jackets, coats, winter gloves, backpacks and belts.
  • Unapproved, non-clothing purchases include: textbooks, groceries, makeup, jewelry, perfume, hair products, flip flops, tobacco, alcohol, pajamas, swimsuits, cleats, sports equipment, ball caps, hats, etc.
  • All transactions are monitored for misuse or non-compliance. Grantees found in non-compliance will be placed on probation for the upcoming school year.
  • Ten dollars will be deducted from all replacement cards.
  • The Chickasaw Nation Youth Services Division is absolved from any further responsibility of cards upon delivery to the grantee.

  • Applications may be submitted online by using an existing account or creating a new user account at
  • Applications may be submitted curbside in-person or by mail to the Chickasaw Nation Youth Services Division, however online submissions will receive processing priority. Paper applications may take additional time to process.

Award Notification

  • Qualifying applicants will be notified with an award letter via the United States Postal Service.
  • A non-reloadable VISA card will be issued.
  • The card must be activated upon receipt.
