Hayaka Unta Camp

This camp gives Chickasaw youth and a parent or guardian an opportunity to share quality time together while enjoying the natural beauty of the outdoors. The camp provides a safe, wholesome and enjoyable experience where relationships can be strengthened while away from the everyday distractions of life.

The camp takes place in the great outdoors at Camp Simpson in Milburn, Oklahoma. Covering approximately 2,042 acres, Camp Simpson features 12 campsites surrounded by trees, hills and foliage, all of which provide a natural setting for plants and wildlife. It also offers a variety of exciting and challenging activities, including rock wall climbing, canoeing on the lake, hiking, fishing, skeet shooting and archery. Camping is primitive style in a provided tent.

A total of 50 students will be selected to attend this unique camp. Students may choose either a male or a female parent or guardian to accompany them.


Spring camp
  • Chickasaw students ages 8 to 11 or in grades three through six.
Fall Camp
  • Chickasaw students, ages 12 to 18 or grades seven through 12.

Other Information:

Participants must have transportation to and from the camp.
