Southeastern Art Show and Market

Out of an abundance of caution and to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, or COVID-19, certain Chickasaw Nation events, classes, facilities, etc., will be postponed, canceled or closed. For a complete list of postponements, cancelations or closures, visit the COVID-19 INFORMATION page. We will continue to update the list as the situation progresses.

In 2005, the Southeastern Art Show and Market (SEASAM) began what is now a time-honored tradition with the first competition, show and market. Fifteen years later, the commitment to providing a quality art competition, professional development and networking opportunities for professional Southeastern and Woodland artists, emerging artists and youth continues. SEASAM fosters cultural identity through fine art of contemporary and traditional styles and provides an outstanding marketplace where artists may flourish.

The Chickasaw Nation will host a virtual SEASAM and SEASAM Youth (ages 14-17 yrs. old) this year. There will be no fee to participate in this virtual market and all submissions will be done entirely online at

Application Deadlines:

  • Adults: Sept. 21
  • Youth: Sept. 21

SEASAM takes place during the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The 2020 SEASAM will be included in the virtual events of this year’s Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival, including the SEASAM awards and a virtual market.
