The Chickasaw Princess Pageant crowns the year’s royalty each fall during the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival. During the Princess in Training events, Chickasaw girls and women ages 7-25 can discover what it takes to become a Chickasaw Princess.
Instructors will go over necessary eligibility and documents, teach about traditional dress, discuss pageant tips and tricks, provide language lessons and practice interview skills.
This event will take place at the Chickasaw Capitol Building in Tishomingo.
Door prize drawings will be available for the first 10 eligible young ladies who register by June 13. Lunch will be provided.
The Chickasaw Princesses serve as ambassadors of the Chickasaw Nation and advocate for their community and tribe during their reign, exemplifying servant leadership.
Age requirements:
- 17-25 for Chickasaw Princess
- 12-16 for Chickasaw Junior Princess
- 7-11 for Little Miss Chickasaw
Each applicant must be a registered citizen of the Chickasaw Nation and at least one-quarter Chickasaw. They must live within the Chickasaw Nation and be currently enrolled in a recognized educational institution, homeschooled or employed in a professional capacity.
