The Chikasha Ihoo Empowerment Series invites prominent Chickasaw women from around the world to discuss important topics as experts in their fields. This session features 2024 Dynamic Woman of the Chickasaw Nation Whitney Anderson, speaking about the “Intersection of Sex Trafficking and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons.”
Anderson has been the driving force advancing victim services for survivors of human trafficking in Oklahoma. She led the establishment of crucial lifesaving and life-changing victim services. In 2019, she was honored among The Journal Record’s 50 Making a Difference and the Oklahoma Gazette’s Forty Under 40. Anderson also co-chairs the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Advisory Board.
Co-founder and executive director of the Dragonfly Home and founder of Sisters Rising Consulting, Anderson candidly embraces her Chickasaw heritage, gathering strength and inspiration from her ancestral roots.
This presentation will take place at the Chickasaw Cultural Center’s Anoli' Theater in Sulphur, Oklahoma. It will also be livestreamed at Chickasaw.net/Empowerment.
