The State of the Nation is a report about tribal progress and a declaration of future plans to continue enhancing the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw people. Each year, the Governor of the Chickasaw Nation gives the address during the Chickasaw Annual Meeting and Festival.
The 2026 Annual Meeting of the Chickasaw Nation, featuring Governor Chris Anoatubby's State of the Nation Address, begins at 9 a.m. CDT, Saturday, Oct. 3. The State of the Nation Address will take place at Aiitafamaˈ Ishto, 502 W. 7th St., in Tishomingo. Registration begins at 8 a.m. CDT.
