ECU Chickasaw Appreciation Day

East Central University (ECU) celebrated Chickasaw Appreciation Day, Oct. 13 at the Koi Ishto Stadium in Ada, Oklahoma.

Before the game, attendees enjoyed food and fun and learned valuable information about tribal programs and services, such as the internship program, higher education, human resources, college clothing grant, nutrition services and more.

Cornstalk Shoot

Event Date: 11/14/2009

The event took place at Cultural Services in Ada.


Arrows were shot from distances of 100 yards, 60 yards, and 40 yards. The first individual to score 50 points won the competition. Wayne Scribner won the competition, Glen Liming finished second with 36 points, and Michael Cornelius finished in 3rd place with 32 points.
