Itiapela (Elder Help) Medical Alert Program

Program Overview

Eligible Chickasaw elders can receive reimbursement for initial costs and monthly fees for 24-hour medical alert services.

Who Can Apply

Ages 60 and older
Chickasaw citizens
Must have doctor’s prescription
Must live alone or alone for long periods of time
Must be homebound
Must have a history of falls due to health or physical problems
Chickasaw Nation residents

Initial Assessment Required

An applicant can expect a Chickasaw Nation Aging Division specialist to make an initial visit to assess services needed. If approved, the program manager will contact the elder to establish services.
