Program Details

Program Details

Children living within the Chickasaw Nation and Seminole County can have shelf-stable meals delivered to their home each week. Participation is open to all families who meet specific income requirements. Each child receives a box containing 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches (20 meals per box). Applications are accepted from May 1 through June 30. Children will receive boxes between June 1 and Aug. 1.

The Chickasaw Nation Summer Food Program is dedicated to bridging the hunger gap by creating successful partnerships with community organizations and local church groups.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/USDA-OASCR%20P-Complaint-Form-0508-0002-508-11-28-17Fax2Mail.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:

Nutrition education and a selection of fresh produce, frozen meats and traditional foods are available through Food Distribution program grocery stores in nutrition centers in Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Tishomingo and Purcell, Oklahoma. Participants may shop on the day of their choice in any of the stores. Applicants must be a First American citizen, reside within the Chickasaw Nation and meet U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) income eligibility guidelines. The Packed Promise program is an innovative supplemental nutrition benefit service offering shelf-stable meal delivery to increase food access, food security and diet quality for Chickasaw children. Children must be between the ages 4-18, have verifiable Chickasaw lineage, qualify based upon income guidelines and reside in the Chickasaw Nation or 10 counties adjacent or within proximity to the Chickasaw Nation's boundaries including, Atoka, Caddo, Canadian, Cleveland, Comanche, Cotton, Hughes, Pittsburg, Pottawatomie and Seminole to qualify.

This program allows qualifying families to receive $120 of free food per child during summer months.
Chickasaw Nation Residents
The Chickasaw Nation Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program, serves First American and non-First American families with nutritious foods, breastfeeding support and other educational resources. Services are designed for pregnant or postpartum women, infants and children up to age 5.
