Senior Centers Program

Chickasaw Nation Residents

The senior centers program provides congregate breakfasts, lunches and homebound lunches to qualified First American elders. The program also provides health monitoring, social activities, cultural classes, speakers, elder wellness programs and group activities.

Must be a Chickasaw citizen or spouse 60 years of age or older or a Chickasaw handicapped person under 60 years of age living with an eligible elder or elderly household.

Eligibility
  • Must be Chickasaw citizen and 60 years of age or older or
  • Must be spouse of a 60 years of age or older Chickasaw citizen or
  • May be a Chickasaw handicapped person under 60 years of age living with an eligible elder or
  • May be Chickasaw handicapped person under 60 years of age living in elderly housing

Program Details

The senior centers program provides congregate breakfasts, lunches and homebound lunches to qualified First American elders. The senior centers also provide health monitoring, social activities, cultural classes, speakers, elder wellness programs and group activities.

Required application is available at any Chickasaw Nation Senior Center. If approved, participant can expect service immediately for congregate meals. An assessment will be completed for homebound meals for individuals living within a service area of a Chickasaw Nation senior center.

The Chickasaw Nation considers its elders “living treasures” and works hard to provide for them the best service and care possible. The tribe remains devoted to the health and well-being of its elders by offering programs and services which are focused on all aspects of their lives.
